PA plastic

PA plastic

PA plastic is the abbreviation of polyamide (Polyamide), also known as nylon (Nylon). It is a high molecular polymer produced by a polycondensation reaction of a diamine and a dibasic acid or a ring-opening polymerization reaction of a lactam.
Product Features

Excellent toughness, impact resistance, drop resistance, bending resistance

Wear-resistant, self-lubricating, gear, bearing

High strength, good rigidity, can replace some metal parts

Oil resistance, solvent resistance, fatigue resistance

Easy to process, can be reinforced, flame retardant, toughening, dyeing

Product Description

From the perspective of chemical structure, the polyamide molecular chain contains an amide group (-CONH-), which makes PA plastic have unique properties. Hydrogen bonds can be formed between amide groups, and the presence of hydrogen bonds enhances the force between PA plastic molecular chains, thereby giving it higher strength, toughness and wear resistance.

There are many types of PA plastics, such as PA6, PA66, PA1010, etc. Different types of PA plastics are polymerized from different monomers, and their properties are slightly different. For example, PA6 is polymerized from caprolactam and PA66 is polymerized from adipic acid and hexamethylene diamine. Generally speaking, PA plastic is a white or yellowish translucent or opaque material with a density of about 1.13-1.15g/cm³. It has good mechanical properties, high strength and toughness, and good fatigue resistance. At the same time, PA plastic also has good thermal stability and chemical stability, and has a certain resistance to many chemical substances, but the acid resistance is slightly worse.
