POM plastic is mainly made by the polymerization reaction of formaldehyde or trioxymethylene. From the chemical structure, the molecular chain is mainly carbon-oxygen bond (C-O), this structural feature makes POM has excellent performance. The molecular chain is closely arranged and the crystallinity is high, generally between 60% and 75%.
POM plastic is usually white or yellowish, translucent or opaque. It has a density of about 1.41 - 1.43g/cm³ and has high hardness, strength and rigidity. Its impact resistance is good, in a wide range of temperature and humidity environment can maintain good mechanical properties. At the same time, POM also has excellent wear resistance, self-lubrication and fatigue resistance, low friction coefficient, and strong resistance to chemicals, but it is not resistant to strong acids and oxidants.
